On Tuesday, Eric, who plays Victor Newman on theĀ 50-year-old soap, went live on his Facebook to offer a smallĀ healthĀ update.

Unfortunately, the actor said, one of his infusion appointments had to be postponed.

To help kick-start his immune system, doctors put Eric on a six-week bladder infusion treatment plan.

Once finished, he would then have six weeks off of the treatment.

Eric shared he was set to have his final infusion earlier this week, but he didn’t end up having it as the doctors ā€œdetected a little bit of a blood infection still.ā€

He went on: ā€œThey weren’t totally sure. In the meantime, they told me to drink at least a gallon [of water] a day.

ā€œOtherwise, it’s going well. I can’t complain. And this side infection is a pain in the you-know-what. Anyway, it’ll go away.ā€

Eric ended the video on a positive note, insisting to fans that he’s ā€œfeeling OK.ā€

Eric first revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis to fans in late April.

In a 13-minuteĀ FacebookĀ video, the actor shared: ā€œWhilst recuperating from the knee surgery, I began to have problems with my prostate.

ā€œI hate to be this personal, but I think this may be good for some older guys who may or may not listen to this. It’ll happen to them.

ā€œMy prostate, I’d had some problems with it before,ā€ he continued. ā€œIt manifests itself by you having to pee a lot. And it got to the point where I had to get up almost every half hour.ā€

He then went on to reveal he had a biopsy that showed low-grade and high-gradeĀ cancer cellsĀ around his bladder.

He concluded the video by saying: ā€œThis b*****d ain’t going to get me; I’m going to get it.ā€

Soon after,Ā he opened upĀ about the roller coaster he’s been on during an interview withĀ ET.

When asked about how he has been dealing with his battle with bladder cancer, he said simply that he’s ā€œtaking it on.ā€

In 1980, Eric landed the role of Victor Newman onĀ The Young and the RestlessĀ andĀ The Bold and the Beautiful.

He’d previously played various roles in hit ’70s shows, such asĀ Hawaii Five-0, Gunsmoke, and CHiPs.

The German-born star came to theĀ United StatesĀ with his father in 1959, and he soon attended theĀ University of Montana.

Shortly after graduating, Braeden landed his first role as a German soldier in theĀ World War IIĀ drama Combat!
