General Hospital Comings and Goings: Biological Father and Toddler Say Goodbye
His fans are going to miss him once Jason heads off the grid very soon but General Hospital’s Steve Burton is living life — and that’s exactly why he decided to take a leave of absence from the ABC soap.

The news came in early February when Burton announced that he would be taking a “short break” to spend quality time with his family and now his wife Michelle has given her followers a peek at some of the new memories they are making.
The soap fave’s missus posted a bunch of photos on her official Instagram that showcased how she and the family are “romanticizing real life,” which she highly recommends.
Everything from a solo shot with her man, to a group pic with their daughters, the beautiful scenery around them, swimming ducks and pic of a quote that says it all, “Sometimes the wait is longer because the blessing is bigger.”
Burton jumped into the comments to 100% agree, as fans encouraged the beautiful family to enjoy life.
Last month, Michelle visited Burton at the studios and shared a video from behind the scenes captioned, “Life gets better when you protect your peace.” She also had a message for her followers and stated,
“Not everything or everyone deserves your energy or your response. You don’t have to explain, justify or carry what isn’t yours. People will always choose the narrative that suits them… that’s on them, not you.”
She also shared a heartfelt message about the importance of staying true to yourself, reminding everyone that real freedom comes from being authentic and refusing to let negativity control your life.
According to her, people often waste too much energy worrying about criticism, opinions, and unnecessary drama instead of appreciating the blessings they already have.
She encouraged her followers to focus on what truly matters, including family, meaningful relationships, personal growth, and the simple moments that make life special.
She firmly believes that everything begins to change when people choose to remain grateful, grounded, and filled with love, even during difficult times. Rather than allowing outside distractions to create fear or doubt, she urged everyone to embrace kindness, positivity, and inner peace.
Her inspiring words served as a reminder that happiness is not determined by the approval of others but by the choices people make every day.
She concluded her emotional message by saying that life is a beautiful gift that should never be taken for granted. Instead of listening to the noise surrounding us, we should cherish every single moment, celebrate the people we love, and appreciate every opportunity to create lasting memories.
In the end, a grateful heart and an authentic spirit are the greatest sources of strength and happiness.
So, as you can see, they are doing just that!
