Gwen’s kidnapper’s identity revealed, shocking DOOL fans. Days of our lives spoilers

Well that came out of nowhere! We know Days of Our Lives‘ Gwen has been afraid enough for her own safety to take self-defense lessons with Tate, but we weren’t expecting her to be kidnapped at the end of Friday’s episode! So who did it… and why?

The Backstabbing Business Partner

The most obvious answer is EJ. He’s fuming right now after losing both the windfall from the failed miracle drug and the hospital.

And then Gwen didn’t even have the decency to let him burst her bubble with bad news when she dropped in to gloat.

Maybe EJ’s feeling especially petty — and hopes he can buy himself time to appeal the hospital decision if Gwen’s not around to buy it. After all, we know he’s already feeling kidnappy! What’s another person for the island?

The Acrimonious Ex

Then there’s Dimitri. We know he’ll be back, if not when. And we know that he is not happy with having to share his money with Gwen — especially since he’s sure she was behind his own kidnapping.

Either he could be planning on forcing her to give it back by holding her hostage, or he’s just fed up and wants revenge. An eye for an eye may leave everyone blind, but in Dimitri’s case… We’re pretty sure he doesn’t care!

The Flirty Former Friend

But what about Kristen? The two didn’t exactly part on great terms after that fight over Xander. Kidnapping Gwen might seem a bit… extreme and pointless. But it also could be part of a plan to save herself? Kristen knows EJ plans on kidnapping her, and she also knows he and Gwen are far from friendly these days.

Maybe she thinks that she could use Gwen as a bargaining chip? Or maybe she’s so desperate, she wants to team up with Gwen and knows she’ll never listen to Kristen unless she’s forced to. It’s a stretch, but again, we’ve rarely seen Kristen this scared and desperate.
