Young and the Restless Comings and Goings: Mystery Woman Debuts, Duo Departs

A mystery woman is arriving in Genoa City, while a front-burner duo is saying goodbye. Here’s the latest casting news at The Young and the Restless for the week of August 10-14.

The Week of August 10, 2026

The Young and the Restless is welcoming a familiar soap face to Genoa City this week as Jade Harlow makes her debut as the mysterious Marie Kirkland. Harlow first appears on Monday, August 10, when Marie crosses paths with Nick Newman, played by Joshua Morrow.

Her appearance continues on Tuesday, August 11, when Nick finds unexpected comfort in his new “friend.” Although Marie is described as a mysterious newcomer, the fact that her role is recurring suggests that viewers may be seeing much more of her in the weeks ahead.

Jade Harlow is certainly no stranger to daytime television audiences. The three-time Daytime Emmy winner has built an impressive career in the soap world, previously taking on memorable roles including Jessica Bennett on Passions and Sheryl Connors on Days of Our Lives.

Her arrival on The Young and the Restless immediately raises questions about Marie’s connection to Nick and what exactly brings her into his life at this particular moment. Nick has experienced plenty of emotional turmoil, so finding comfort in someone new could become an important development for his storyline.

Meanwhile, Melissa Ordway is also returning to the canvas as Abby Newman Winters. Her return brings her into scenes with Devon, played by Bryton James, Nate, portrayed by Sean Dominic, and Lily, played by Christel Khalil.

On Tuesday, August 11, Devon makes an announcement that reportedly catches his family completely off guard. With Abby back in the mix and the Winters and Abbott family dynamics constantly shifting, Devon’s revelation could create another wave of tension among the characters.

However, while some familiar faces are returning, the show is also saying goodbye to two recent additions. Lucas Adams has officially left The Young and the Restless after playing Noah Newman, the son of Nick Newman and Sharon Newman.

Adams joined the cast last November and quickly stepped into the complicated legacy surrounding one of Genoa City’s most recognizable families. Before joining Y&R, he was known to soap fans for playing Tripp Johnson on Days of Our Lives.

Noah’s departure came last week when the character left Genoa City and returned to Los Angeles. His exit marks the end of Adams’ relatively short run on the show, although his time as Noah allowed him to become part of several major family storylines.

Adams previously discussed the pressure that came with joining such an important legacy family, highlighting the challenges that can come with stepping into a role connected to characters who have been part of the series for decades.

Tamara Braun is also departing alongside Adams. Braun played Sienna Bacall, Noah’s girlfriend, and joined the Y&R cast last October.

Daytime fans will recognize Braun from her long-running role as Ava Vitali on Days of Our Lives. Sienna’s storyline was closely tied to Noah, and the character accompanied him when he returned to Los Angeles.

With Marie Kirkland arriving just as Noah and Sienna leave town, The Young and the Restless is clearly entering a period of transition.

Nick’s mysterious new friendship, Devon’s unexpected announcement, Abby’s return, and the departures of Noah and Sienna could all create major changes in Genoa City. As Marie’s story develops, viewers will undoubtedly be watching closely to discover whether her connection with Nick is simply a source of comfort—or the beginning of something much bigger.
