Ryan Paevey Finally Breaks His Silence on Returning to General Hospital!
Ryan Paevey has sent General Hospital fans into a frenzy with comments that could open the door for another shocking return to Port Charles.
After the complicated storyline surrounding Casius, fans are now wondering whether the character’s story is truly finished. Paevey, who originally played Detective Nathan West, has made it clear that he would be interested in returning if Casius could come back with a compelling new purpose.

Paevey first appeared on General Hospital as Nathan West in 2013 and remained with the soap until Nathan’s death in 2018. Years later, he made a surprise return, leaving viewers convinced that Nathan had somehow survived. The truth was eventually revealed to be much more complicated.
Paevey was actually playing Casius, Nathan’s previously unknown identical twin brother and another member of the notorious Faison family. Casius had been impersonating his dead brother while secretly working with Jen Sidwell, creating one of the show’s biggest twists.
The role gave Paevey the opportunity to explore a much darker character than Nathan. While Nathan was primarily known through his relationship with Maxie Jones, Casius had his own secrets, motives, and connections.
Paevey reportedly enjoyed the freedom that came with playing the villain, and his performance quickly became one of the most talked-about aspects of his return.
However, Casius appeared to meet a tragic end during a dramatic confrontation involving Ross Cullum. After being shot, he was believed to be dead, seemingly bringing Paevey’s latest run to an abrupt conclusion.
But Port Charles has never been a place where death necessarily means goodbye. The story later revealed that Casius had survived and was being held in WSB custody.
He was given an extraordinary choice: face prison and potentially a death sentence, or become a WSB agent.
The show deliberately left the outcome unclear, giving viewers plenty of room to wonder what happened next. That unanswered question has now become particularly important because the door appears to remain open for Casius to return.
At a General Hospital fan event in Los Angeles, Paevey was asked whether he would consider playing Casius again. Rather than rejecting the possibility, he indicated that he would return if the character could serve as an “agent of chaos.” That comment immediately sparked speculation among fans who would love to see Casius return with a completely different role.
A WSB storyline could give Casius a fresh direction. Instead of pretending to be Nathan, he could return as a legitimate operative, caught between his dangerous past and his new responsibilities. He could also be forced to confront family members who barely know his true identity, including connections to Britt Westbourne and Liesl Obrecht.
His history with Jocelyn could provide another layer of drama, particularly because she was among the last people connected to him before his supposed death. A return could therefore affect multiple characters while introducing new conflicts across Port Charles.
For now, there is no official confirmation that Paevey is returning. However, the combination of an unresolved storyline, an interested actor, and producers leaving the door open has fans hoping that Casius has not seen the last of Port Charles.
If General Hospital decides to call, Paevey certainly sounds ready to answer—and a former villain turned unpredictable WSB operative could create exactly the kind of chaos the soap thrives on.
