Y&R Monday, 8.17.2026 Full Episode: Traci Horrified as Billy Loses Control; Lily in Danger!
Monday’s episode of The Young and the Restless brings a major escalation in Billy Abbott’s battle for Chancellor Industries. Traci and Ashley are stunned when Jack reveals what Billy has discovered, while Lily warns Billy that his determination to take control could cost him everything. Meanwhile, Nate takes an important step toward returning to medicine.
At Society, Billy confronts Cane and Lily with his shocking claim that the Abbott family legally owns Chancellor. Billy explains that John Abbott once provided a loan to Chancellor Industries and that the agreement allegedly contained a provision transferring ownership to John or his heirs if the debt was not repaid.’
Lily refuses to accept Billy’s version of events. She tells him that she has the power to fire him and demands that he return the files he took. Billy, however, insists that Lily cannot fire him because she does not actually own Chancellor.
Cane is furious. He believes Billy has betrayed him after Cane previously gave him an opportunity to work with Chancellor. Billy, meanwhile, seems almost pleased by their reaction and insists that the documents prove he has a legitimate claim.
Billy’s confidence only grows when he tells Lily that he intends to follow through with his plan. Lily refuses to back down and delivers a warning: if Billy continues down this path, he could lose everything that matters to him.
The conflict becomes even more serious when Billy turns against Holden. He informs Holden that he no longer has a job, leaving Cane shocked by how aggressively Billy is moving against anyone who stands in his way.
Cane decides he cannot handle the situation alone. He reaches out to Jack Abbott and asks for help, believing the Abbott family must stop Billy before the Chancellor battle becomes completely destructive.
At Jabot, Traci and Ashley are horrified when Jack explains what Billy has discovered. Traci admits that she never found evidence of the mysterious Chancellor loan while researching the Abbott family’s history.
Jack explains that Billy has produced documents that appear to support his claim. Kyle is already consulting attorneys to determine whether those documents are legally enforceable.
Traci is deeply uncomfortable with the idea of taking Chancellor away from Cane and Lily. She wants Jack to convince Billy to stop, but Jack admits that Billy appears determined to pursue the fight.
Ashley understands Billy’s motivations but agrees that the situation could become extremely damaging. Jack ultimately decides he cannot simply watch Billy destroy relationships and potentially damage John Abbott’s legacy.
Meanwhile, Lily begins preparing for war. She turns to Holden and asks whether he is willing to stand beside her. With Cane also searching for allies, the Chancellor battle is quickly becoming a much larger conflict.
Elsewhere, Nate receives some encouraging news about his future. He tells Stephanie that he has decided to move forward with surgery on his injured hand in the hope that he can return to medicine.
Stephanie is thrilled by Nate’s decision. She goes the extra mile by contacting a surgeon who may be able to help him and works toward arranging a consultation in Genoa City.
