Genoa City may be heading toward another deadly twist as several characters find themselves caught in increasingly dangerous situations. With revenge, addiction and family wars spiraling out of control, two familiar faces could soon face life-threatening danger.
The first possible target is Nick Newman.
Nick has been fighting a devastating battle with addiction, and his situation has already pushed his family to the breaking point. Victor and Nikki have repeatedly tried to help him, while Sharon and the rest of his loved ones remain deeply worried about his condition.
Now Nick could be closer to danger than anyone realizes.
His connection to Matt Clark has made his situation even more complicated. Matt has deliberately manipulated Nick’s fears and vulnerabilities, making the Newman heir an obvious target in his ongoing revenge campaign.
Even though Nick has been trying to turn his life around, another confrontation with Matt could put him directly in harm’s way.
The second character facing serious danger could be Billy Abbott.
Billy’s war with Lily and Cane continues to escalate, while Victor is determined to stop him from gaining more power. CBS’s official episode guide confirms that Victor has already put a plan in motion to discredit Billy, while Lily has reached out to Jack for help.
Billy is surrounded by enemies.
His aggressive strategy has created problems with multiple people, and every new move seems to make the situation more dangerous. If Billy pushes the wrong person too far, the consequences could become deadly.
But there is another disturbing possibility.
Matt Clark could still be alive.
A recent storyline appeared to show Matt dying after a bomb explosion, but the circumstances surrounding his supposed death have left plenty of unanswered questions. One report notes that the sequence contains several loopholes suggesting the villain may have survived.
If Matt returns, Nick could immediately find himself in danger again.
Meanwhile, Victoria and Kyle’s growing connection adds another layer of uncertainty. Their relationship is becoming increasingly complicated as business competition turns personal, while Diane remains suspicious of Kyle’s motives.
