he Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) may tackle a new role with the goal of hiding a terrible secret.
Will Steffy become Daphne Rose Walton’s (Murielle Hilaire) surrogate just to conceal the truth about how Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) baby was actually conceived?
Based on Steffy’s panicked expressed as the September 9 episode wrapped up, she realized she could be pregnant.
Steffy tried to convince herself she felt sick because of something she ate, but she must know a baby is a real possibility here.
The timing is interesting since Daphne has decided she can’t bear to look at another negative pregnancy test.
Daphne could carry a baby herself with the help of an egg donor, but she doesn’t want to face more disappointment.
Besides, using a surrogate will give Daphne and Carter the best chance of successfully having a child, so that’s the route they’re taking.
Daphne can’t be the biological mother, but she definitely wants this baby to biologically belong to Carter.
As luck would have it, Carter may indeed be the father of Steffy’s unborn child.
Of course, there’s a chance B&B might do a paternity mystery and have John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) be a bio candidate, too.
However, the show could opt for an easier angle.
They might rewrite it so that Finn was busy with work before their Monaco trip and make it seem like he hasn’t done the deed with Steffy in a while.
That would eliminate the need for a paternity test and any waiting period so that it would be safe for the baby.
If Steffy knows this must be Carter’s child, then the story can roll right into the next phase.
Although Daphne wants a surrogate, she doesn’t love the idea of a stranger helping her start her family with Carter.
Daphne would be thrilled if Steffy volunteered to be her surrogate instead, so maybe that’s exactly what she’ll do.
Steffy can pretend she’s going through the motions of a normal surrogacy while hiding the fact that she’s already carrying Carter’s son or daughter.
As for the timing of the birth, Steffy can just act like the baby came early.
Steffy may ultimately spell out this plan to Carter and hope he’s willing to get on board.
It may seem like the only way for Carter and Steffy to conceal their drunken night of passion and make this baby news work out.
