General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kelly Monaco (ex-Sam McCall) recently posted an important announcement on Instagram.
The former GH actress shared some big news with fans and got plenty of support in the comments.
Kelly Monaco started with an image from an app that tracks her sobriety.
It turns out Monaco has been sober for six months and seven days, so that’s certainly a major milestone to celebrate.
“Now the whole 6/7 thing makes sense! #duces,” Monaco said in her post.
In addition to getting congratulatory comments from fans, Monaco also received supportive words from some former co-stars.
That includes Lexi Ainsworth (ex-Kristina Corinthos-Davis), who previously played Monaco’s TV sister.
Ainsworth indicated that she was “so proud” of Monaco, who’s clearly putting in all the necessary work to stay sober.
This isn’t the only thing Monaco’s had to celebrate lately.
Monaco also posted a birthday message to her mother just a few days ago and revealed that they spent it together.
“She turns 70 today and I got to wake up next to her! How good is God. Happy Birthday mom. I love you to the moon and beyond @kellysmom1,” Monaco said on September 11.
Monaco posted a pic that showed her out on a boat enjoying some family time, so it’s good to see she’s been making the most of her sobriety and savoring some fun moments.
Monaco’s personal life is going well, but some fans can’t help but wonder about her professional life and the potential for a GH comeback.
Is there a chance Monaco might return as Sam or even a new character at some point?
Sam was killed off back in 2024, but that hasn’t stopped many viewers from wishing the show would undo that decision.
In the land of soaps where wild twists happen all the time, anything’s possible.
For now, we’ll just celebrate Kelly Monaco’s sobriety milestone right along with her.
It’s wonderful to see Monaco’s success when it comes to staying sober, so we’ll all be rooting for her to keep up the good work!
