Salem is heading toward another explosive battle as EJ DiMera discovers that he may have a powerful new rival for the Kiriakis Mansion. EJ wants to take control of everything connected to the Kiriakis family, but a mysterious Italian billionaire has already made a huge cash offer for the estate.

And that mystery buyer could be someone EJ knows very well.

Sami’s husband-to-be, Dante Vitali, may be behind the offer.

Xander has been desperate to keep EJ from getting his hands on the Kiriakis family home. After EJ called in the massive loan, the Kiriakis family was forced to consider selling the mansion to protect their remaining assets.

Dante Vitali would certainly fit the description.

He is Sami Brady’s wealthy Italian fiancé, and his connection to the Vitali family could make his arrival in Salem extremely complicated. If Dante really is the secret buyer, he may have a much bigger reason for purchasing the mansion than simply wanting another luxurious property.

He could be doing it for Sami.

Sami is expected to return to Salem in the future, and owning the Kiriakis Mansion could give her and Dante a permanent base in Salem. It could also put Sami directly in EJ’s path once again.

And EJ would not be happy.

The history between EJ and Sami is complicated enough without her new husband suddenly taking control of a property EJ desperately wants.

EJ could confront Dante and demand to know why he is interfering with the Kiriakis family sale.

Dante, however, may refuse to back down.

If he has the financial power to purchase the mansion outright, EJ cannot simply intimidate him into walking away. That could turn the situation into a battle between two powerful families.

The Kiriakis family would also have mixed feelings.

Xander wants the mansion sold rather than allowing EJ to own it, while Philip is desperately trying to find another way to save Titan and the family home. Philip has even turned to Gabi for the money needed to enter a high-stakes poker game that could potentially generate enough cash to rescue the family.

If Philip succeeds, everything could suddenly change.
