The biggest theory is that Sophia may actually be alive. Although Salem has been mourning her after the tragic incident at the river, no body was ever recovered. For longtime viewers, that immediately raises suspicion.
The Salem River has become the perfect place for characters to disappear and later return with shocking revelations. Could Mason be the person who rescued Sophia from the water and secretly kept her alive?
