Today, Salem is once again drowning in secrets, betrayal, heartbreak, and questionable decisions, and the upcoming storylines promise enough chaos to keep every Days of Our Lives fan glued to the screen.
From August 31 through October 4, several major characters will find themselves facing emotional disasters, dangerous revelations, and relationships pushed to the breaking point.
One of the biggest mysteries centers on Cat, Marina, Andrew, and EJ. Marina believes Cat needs to warn Andrew that EJ may know she is secretly working as an ISA agent.
The problem is that Cat apparently made a mistake during her time in Italy and now fears admitting it could damage her career.
Marina, however, refuses to stay quiet. There is a strong possibility she will go behind Cat’s back and reveal the truth herself. Meanwhile, EJ continues to grow more dangerous.
If he really knows Cat’s secret, he could use it as leverage to protect himself and cover up his connection to the underground pod and the terrible experiments surrounding Lexi.
Elsewhere, Xander is preparing for a special father-daughter dance with Victoria. Fans are hoping to finally see Xander embrace his softer side as a devoted father. However, there are concerns that the event could happen mostly off-screen.
After everything Xander has gone through, viewers deserve to witness this emotional moment rather than simply hear characters talk about how wonderful it was.
Stephanie is also struggling. With Alex angry at her and Joy preparing for surgery, she turns to Theo for support. Yet Theo is already dealing with enormous trauma after discovering his mother, Lexi, inside the underground pod.
Dragging him into relationship drama could push everyone even further toward a breaking point. Stephanie needs to regain control before her actions destroy both her marriage and her relationships with the people around her.
Perhaps the most heartbreaking storyline belongs to Abe. After believing Lexi was gone for years, he was forced to confront her existence again when she was discovered in EJ’s underground facility.
Now that Lexi is gone once more, Abe must grieve the woman he loved all over again. Paulina will likely be there to support him, but their relationship is complicated by the legal mess surrounding their marriage. Whether Abe is ready to marry Paulina again remains a major question.
Chad is facing criticism of his own. He is considering traveling to Italy with Belle, despite already spending so much time dealing with Salem’s latest crises instead of focusing on his children.
Thomas and Charlotte may have given him their blessing, but viewers are questioning whether Chad should really be leaving town again. His friendship with Belle could also become something much more complicated, especially in the romantic atmosphere of Italy.
Meanwhile, Kate Roberts is preparing another scheme, and Roman is unlikely to be impressed. Kate needs a favor from Ari, suggesting that another secret operation may be coming.
And then there is Leo Stark, who is investigating Gabby’s fake designer bag while showing a surprisingly mature side after Javi’s breakup. His redemption continues, but trouble never seems far away.
Finally, Ari and Holly are moving into their college dorms while Tate struggles with feeling left behind. Holly may soon discover that EJ planted the drugs, creating an explosive confrontation.
At the same time, Philip and Gabby are heading to Monte Carlo as supposed fiancés, setting the stage for glamorous deception, corporate schemes, and possibly genuine romance.
Salem is about to explode once again, and one thing is certain: the next few weeks will be anything but peaceful.
