Days of Our Lives Casts Franco Lo Presti as Dante Vitali, Sami’s Groom-to-Be
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the show’s adding a handsome new face to the cast.
Deadline confirms that Franco Lo Presti has joined Days and will be making his debut as Dante Vitali on September 14, so let’s talk about this fun addition.
Heated Rivalry fans will recognize Lo Presti since he played Cliff Marleau on the hit series in 2025.
You might also remember Lo Presti from other film and television roles on Tracker, Chucky, Crossroad Springs, Tiny Pretty Things and more.
Now Lo Presti is heading over to the soap world since he’s set to play Dante Vitali on DOOL.
That name should be familiar to Days viewers since Sami Brady (Alison Lanier) previously mentioned her engagement to Dante, who comes from the infamous Vitali mob family.
Of course, Sami also defended Dante and made it seem like he had nothing to do with his criminal relatives.
Assuming that Dante and Sami are still planning their wedding, he may have some news about that once he hits the screen.
Plus, a mysterious Italian billionaire made an offer on the Kiriakis mansion, so that’s worth keeping in mind.
The potential buyer’s name was supposedly Dominic Marino, but maybe that’s just an alias Dante is using.
Whatever the case, Dante will shake things up along with someone else who matters a great deal to Sami.
CDL previously speculated that Sydney Malakeh would be playing Sami and EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) daughter, Sydney DiMera.
Deadline offered confirmation that Malakeh is indeed stepping into the role as a Sydney recast starting September 9.
It’ll be exciting to see both Malakeh and Lo Presti debut in the not-too-distant future.
Although Sami isn’t set to return for Franco Lo Presti’s first appearance as Dante Vitali, she does have a Days comeback stint ahead in June 2027.
