General Hospital is delivering one explosive twist after another, and Port Charles is quickly becoming a battlefield of secrets, betrayal, and dangerous revenge.
Drew Kane’s decision to plant Jack Brennan’s wallet in Nina Reeves’s car could send her straight into the WSB’s crosshairs, while Brook Lynn Quartermaine faces the consequences of her hit-and-run cover-up.
At the same time, Carly Corinthos may be ignoring a warning from Josslyn that could save her from another devastating heartbreak.
The biggest crisis begins with Nina. According to these spoilers, WSB acting chief William Baines confronts her during a tense PCPD interrogation and claims there is enough evidence to extradite her.
Nina is already under enormous pressure, and the possibility of being taken into WSB custody raises the stakes dramatically. She insists she had nothing to do with the murder, but the evidence apparently points directly at her.
Fortunately, Nina may have Rick Lansing fighting in her corner. Rick is expected to challenge the evidence and do everything possible to prevent Nina from being extradited.
But Nina’s situation becomes even more complicated because Drew is reportedly the person who planted Brennan’s wallet in her car as part of his revenge scheme. If Nina is being framed, Drew may have created a dangerous trail that could eventually expose him.
Ava Jerome also appears to realize that Drew has gone much further than she expected. His confidence may look impressive for the moment, but playing games with the WSB is extremely risky.
If investigators discover that the evidence was planted, Drew could suddenly find himself facing questions about what really happened.
Meanwhile, Sonny Corinthos attempts to help Nina by secretly meeting with ADA Justine Turner. Sonny apparently hopes their relationship might give him some leverage, but Justine refuses to cross the line.
She makes it clear that she cannot simply control the WSB or use her position to interfere with its actions. Sonny may be used to getting results, but this time his influence appears to have limits.
Then there is Brook Lynn, whose problems may be reaching a breaking point. She confronts Lucy Co over their deal and demands the return of the cosmetic shares.
But Brook Lynn’s demand comes while the consequences of her own deception are still hanging over her. The storyline says she was responsible for the accident involving Jordan Ashford and Curtis, then helped conceal the truth while Curtis faced the consequences.
Lucy has little reason to simply surrender what she gained from their arrangement. Their confrontation could become extremely ugly, especially if Brook Lynn realizes that getting her shares back will not be nearly as easy as demanding them.
Jordan also appears ready to confront Brook Lynn, while Trina continues visiting Curtis in Pentonville. The emotional fallout could be enormous as Curtis has lost valuable time with his family because of a crime he did not commit.
Finally, Carly faces a warning from Josslyn about her relationship with Valentin Cassadine. Josslyn believes Valentin’s complicated history with Anna could eventually create serious problems for Carly.
Whether that prediction comes true remains to be seen, but Carly may soon be forced to confront uncomfortable questions about where Valentin’s loyalties truly lie.
With Drew’s scheme threatening Nina, Brook Lynn’s secrets closing in, and Carly facing doubts about Valentin, Port Charles is packed with ticking time bombs. Which secret will explode first? And when the truth finally comes out, who will be left standing?
