Port Charles is completely out of control, and the latest developments have turned the Jack Brennan mystery into an explosive nightmare that could destroy several powerful families.

Everyone seems to be searching for answers, but the shocking truth is that Brennan’s body is already being hidden while the people responsible desperately try to keep their secrets buried.

Josslyn Jacks is taking her new WSB role seriously, meeting with William Baines and presenting evidence that Brennan’s disappearance may involve foul play. S

he believes something terrible happened, but she has no idea how close the truth is to her own circle. Her determination to investigate puts her directly on a collision course with people who will do anything to protect themselves.

Meanwhile, Carly Spencer and Valentin Cassadine are developing their own theory. Valentin suggests that Brennan may have staged his disappearance, something that sounds almost believable coming from a man with a long history of deception and fake deaths.

Carly desperately wants to believe that Brennan simply vanished because accepting the alternative would mean confronting an even darker reality.

That reality involves Ava Jerome and Drew Kane.

The two are now caught in an increasingly dangerous cover-up after moving Brennan’s lifeless body into the woods. Ava understands exactly how serious their situation has become.

She makes it clear to Drew that if she goes down for Brennan’s death, she will make sure he goes down with her. There is no room for betrayal between them now. They are connected by the secret, and one wrong move could bring everything crashing down.

Drew’s behavior is especially disturbing because he once presented himself as a man with strong principles. Now he is involved in hiding a body and immediately thinking about revenge instead of protecting himself from the consequences.

His transformation into a darker character appears to be accelerating, and whatever target he chooses next could create another devastating chain reaction.

Elsewhere, Sonny Corinthos faces another complicated situation with ADA Justine Turner. Justine is worried about the effect their relationship could have on Donna and wants to make sure they are not creating more emotional instability for the child.

Sonny, however, seems far less concerned. His confidence and refusal to take her fears seriously could eventually push Justine toward a decision she may regret.

The police are also quietly putting pieces together. Harrison Chase and Joe Fitzpatrick exchange information about an investigation that could eventually expose the truth surrounding Jordan Ashford’s hit-and-run. Brooklyn Quartermaine may have believed she successfully escaped responsibility, but the investigation could be getting dangerously close to her.

And then comes the biggest revelation of all.

Jason Morgan discovers that Danny took Chase’s truck for a joyride and confronts his son about it. But Danny is carrying far more emotional baggage than Jason realizes. Under pressure, Danny finally breaks and reveals the secret he has been keeping: he and Charlotte Cassadine discovered Jack Brennan’s dead body floating in the Metro Court pool.

That confession changes everything.
