Friday’s episode of General Hospital brings the week to a tense conclusion as several major characters make decisions that could change the balance of power in Port Charles. The episode begins with Sonny and Laura catching up.
Laura is preparing to leave Port Charles for a while so she can reunite with Kevin and Ace in Ireland. Before she goes, she needs to make sure the people she trusts will be looking after things in her absence.
That includes Sonny.
Laura has plenty of reasons to be concerned about what is happening in Port Charles. The struggle over Sidwell’s assets has created new alliances and rivalries, while Sonny is trying to establish a legitimate future after stepping away from his old criminal operations.
Sonny gives Laura his word.
But Laura may still wonder whether she can truly trust the promise he makes. His history and the chaos surrounding him make it difficult to know whether everything will go according to plan.
Meanwhile, Carly and Valentin make a major decision together.
Their alliance has become increasingly important as the battle over Sidwell’s empire intensifies. Both understand that the wrong choice could have serious consequences for their families.
Valentin also has his own plans involving Charlotte and ELQ.
Whatever Carly and Valentin decide could affect several people in Port Charles, especially those already preparing for the next phase of the corporate power struggle.
Elsewhere, Anna offers support.
Anna has been dealing with her own emotional struggles, but she manages to put them aside long enough to help someone who needs her. Her willingness to step in could make an important difference at a critical moment.
At the same time, Ava prepares a dangerous trap.
