The Young and the Restless: 3 Lonely Women Get New Love Stories, Fresh Romances Follow Head Writing Change?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that at least three women in Genoa City could be dealing with some loneliness.

These characters deserve some romance in their lives, so maybe some new love stories will be brewing now that the head writing transition is underway.

Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor have taken over for Josh Griffith, so fans are eagerly awaiting the moment when their material finally hits the screen.

Once that happens, viewers will start to see some big changes in GC.

With that in mind, we should consider three women who might finally get some romantic pairings and a chance at new love stories.

Let’s mull over the list and what the future might hold for these characters.

1) Audra

Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) recently opened up to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) about how painful it’s been watching her exes move on with other women.

However, Sally gave Audra a pep talk and worked to convince her BFF that her best days are still to come.

If that’s true, maybe Audra could find real love that’s meant to last.

It’d be nice to see Audra truly fall for someone and not make it about any kind of manipulation or selfish benefit.

It would also be nice if Audra could learn from her mistakes and build more trust in her next relationship.

Audra may always be a bit of a bad girl, but she could still have a successful romantic future if she focuses on honesty and doing things right next time around.

2) Sharon

Y&R has kept Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) stuck in romantic limbo long enough, so the show needs to make a decision about whether she’ll reunite with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) or move on with someone else.

If a Sharon and Nick reunion does happen after his rehab release, there might be ways to make it fresh and interesting.

Nick and Sharon have changed a lot over the years, so their story could be about learning to love each other for who they are now.

However, it’s also possible Sharon could get a new man like Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) or any other hunk who might enter her life.

It might be fun to see Sharon get a brand-new love story under the latest co-head writing team, so we’ll see what they have in store for her.

3) Traci

When it was revealed that Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) had been posing as his twin brother, Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins), many fans were disappointed.

The show sacrificed Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) perfect love interest for a short-term wild Martin takeover storyline.

Traci and “Alan” had wonderful chemistry that’ll be tough to beat, but Y&R should at least try to give her some new magic.

Now that Traci has been hinting about being ready to move on with her life, she deserves the opportunity to date and find real happiness again.

Traci got a silver fox bartender’s phone number, so that was a great start!

However, we’d like to see Traci meet someone special who’s willing to love her deeply and build a lasting future with her.
