But the biggest heartbreak has to be Jack Brennan.
After so much potential, Brennan is suddenly dead, floating in the Metro Court pool, and fans are left wondering why the show chose such a brutal ending for a character who seemed destined for so much more.
Chris McKenna has confirmed that his run as Brennan is over, revealing in an exit interview that he filmed his final scenes back in June.
The actor reportedly received a bottle of bourbon from Frank Valentini instead of the traditional goodbye flowers, a fitting but bittersweet farewell for such a complicated character. Even more shocking, McKenna revealed that Paige Hershel, who played Justinda Bracken, was fired on the exact same day.
The two exits apparently created an emotional atmosphere behind the scenes, with the cast coming together to support their departing colleagues.
