General Hospital Comings and Goings: New WSB Honcho, Two Leads Exit
A new WSB honcho has been cast, while a pair of lead actors have said goodbye to General Hospital. Here’s the soap’s latest casting news for the week of September 7-11.
The Week of September 7, 2026
Alimi Ballard is tackling the role of new WSB honcho William Baines. The actor is no stranger to soaps. He previously played Frankie Hubbard, the son of All My Children’s Jesse (Darnell Williams) and Angie (Debbi Morgan), albeit not on AMC. Ballard portrayed the character on Loving (1993-1995) and The City (1996). Here’s a quick look at Ballard’s career past.

Finn Carr is back as Rocco Falconeri. The troubled teenager airs again on Monday, September 7.
Kayden Brenna Tokarski returns as Scout Cain. She interacts with Carr’s Rocco on September 7.
Troy Lennon Appel gets more airtime as Hudson Parker. (Check out some interesting facts about the actor. ) Look for the Port Charles newcomer to get an eyeful of something on Wednesday, September 9.
Wes Ramsey continues his run as the late Peter August. The character taunts and haunts Finola Hughes’ Anna throughout the week.
On the exit front, Genie Francis has left Port Charles as Laura Collins. The character headed to Ireland last week to visit her husband, Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), and grandson, Ace. The storyline move coincides with Francis’ annual vacation. She’ll be back on screen sometime this fall.
Chris McKenna has also departed the soap as Jack Brennan. The former WSB honcho was killed off and found floating dead in the Metro Court pool. McKenna had played Jack since February 2025, when he replaced Charles Mesure. McKenna shared a special message with fans after wrapping his GH run.
